OK, I live in Houston so I had to drive up 4 hours for the Artie Lange show at the Nokia Center in Grand Praire last weekend. I got a seedy motel room .2 miles from the the theatre for $55 a night, forced my fiance to come and had a great fuck’in night! Not only was the comedy top notch but honestly it’s all the Stern fans that show up that makes the experience so great. If I was Howard I would have snatched up about 20 people I met and could have started a all new wack pack. To Sum up:

06/16/08
-Artie started off the show discussing his appearance on Letterman last week, noting that Sirius VP Scott Greenstein had asked him to give Dave one of Sirius’ Stiletto radios for Father’s Day. Artie said the idea was turned down by Letterman’s producers, as a gift presentation generally kills the show’s momentum, so he settled with plugging Sirius at the end of the interview. Artie also confessed that he was so nervous about his appearance, he stained his shirt with stomach sweat.

Artie has hired a new assistant named Hillary. I am excited to see the drama that will come from this. Her resume seems to be lacking any personal assistant experience but was a BARTENDER which may the only resume in history where being a bartender helps someone get a assistant job. I hope she can make a good Jack and Coke! Also, Teddy is now his road manager and seems alot less stressed but I’m sure he will end up saying something gay like Bloomies and all hell will break loose.

Thank god the show is back from another vacation. Today Artie discussed a phone conversation he had with the Army regarding what was appropriate for his comedy act. It seems ridiculous to me the censorship they impose on these USO shows. They act cannot include anything about sex, religion, politics and other retarded things. Considering everything about Artie’s act has a “offensive funny” style I can only imagine how lame this show will be.
